You see the difference?? This is what I want us to learn here. Passionate love for Jesus – He is worthy! Look what He has done for you, for me! He is worthy!! It is never too late to do the right thing with the Lord, with your marriage with you children. Be a person of Hope, Grace, Forgiveness! Sometimes we need the storm to see the glory! 2 – Serving one another – make it a discipline! Galatians 5:13; John 13:14; Phil 2:3 When we serve as a discipline it sets up the day for both of you This attitude and actions creates a reciprocal effect Remember the other person You are not the only one who has had it hard today! 3 – Be together! The two shall be ONE flesh We should practice being one practically When you have kids (lots of them) carving time out together is hard Look for the opportunities to spend time together – when you can 4 – Parenting together In a world where distractions are rampant and we are told children are a bother, God says something different! Psalm 127:3-5 Charels Spurgeon “He gives children, not as a penalty nor as a burden, but as a favour. They are a token for good if men know how to receive them and educate them. They are ‘doubtful blessings’ only because we are doubtful persons.” In the eyes of the Lord and scripture there is no such thing as “victimhood parenting” unless you create it! Look for opportunity to bring your children along beside you Kids don’t remember how hard you work they remember when you missed their swimming lessons Make children a priority – Don’t be a victim of parenting Say no family – key to children who are not entitled! Eph 6 warnings and boundaries 5 – Distractions are destructive The dangers of social media “If you’re scrolling you’re comparing” If you’re hiding from your kids what you are doing then it can’t be good This kind of lifestyle and approach at life and “entertainment” will be a hindrance, a separation from good relationship with your spouse and your children James 4:8 a double minded man is unstable in all of his ways This person is "a walking civil war in which trust and distrust of God wage a continual battle against each other."
